Why give?
I’m Chloe Morgan, and I’m running for the Dayton Public School Board to fight for what truly matters: supporting our union educators, fixing the transportation issues that disrupt learning, and making student mental health a real priority—not just a talking point. As a community member, advocate, and organizer, I’m committed to ensuring our school district puts people before politics and students before shortcuts. Your donation directly fuels a campaign rooted in transparency, equity, and action. Help us create a school district where every child—and every educator—can thrive. Donate today.
FAQs
-
I’m running because our students, educators, and families deserve better. I want to be a voice for those often left out of the conversation—students struggling with mental health, educators lacking support, and families navigating unreliable transportation. I’m committed to action, not just talk.
-
I’ve spent years working in community advocacy, supporting families and students while navigating broken systems. I’ve collaborated with local organizations, fought for equity in education and mental health, and built relationships that give me insight into what’s really happening in our schools.
-
Yes. This is not something I take lightly. I’ve made space in my professional and personal life to fully commit to the responsibilities of being a school board member.
-
Item description1. Support our union educators with the resources, respect, and stability they deserve. 2. Fix student transportation, making it safe, reliable, and responsive. 3. Prioritize student mental health and well-being across all schools.
-
• Advocate for fair union contracts and fully support educators’ working conditions.
• Work with staff and families to overhaul communication and logistics in transportation.
• Expand access to mental health professionals and integrate trauma-informed practices into every building.
-
More than test scores—our schools should nurture students academically, emotionally, and socially. Every child should graduate ready to thrive in life, not just pass standardized benchmarks.
-
Through early interventions, culturally responsive teaching, tutoring, and full funding for special education. Mental health and housing instability must also be considered as root causes.
-
The goals are important, but we need honest timelines and real support to meet them. Achievement starts with stable staffing, consistent transportation, and care for student well-being.
-
By supporting regular equity audits and making the results public. Schools with the highest needs should receive the most support—no exceptions.
-
Transparency is key. If we ask taxpayers to contribute more, we must clearly show where every dollar will go. My focus will always be on funding what impacts students directly.
-
Invest in mental health professionals, restorative justice programs, and trauma-informed training. Real safety starts with strong relationships and a culture of care.
-
To set policy, not run day-to-day operations. Board members should lead with transparency, ask hard questions, and hold the district accountable while respecting professional staff.
-
I believe in honest, respectful collaboration—but I won’t rubber-stamp anything that doesn’t serve students, educators, or families. I’ll prioritize accountability and communication, as I have demonstrated in the meeting I held with Dr. Lawrence’s Chief of Staff this past Spring.
-
By being visible, accessible, and listening. I’ll advocate for parent advisory councils, regular community forums, and improved communication across languages and platforms.
-
With transparency and humility. I welcome honest feedback and will respond directly, always grounded in what’s best for students and staff.
-
I fully support DEI as a guiding value for our district. Every student—no matter their race, gender, income, or identity—deserves equal access to opportunity and support.
Not only this, but in doing so we facilitate the creation of the vision for the future that Mayor Mimms has laid out. -
I’ll push for open data, clear performance metrics, and regular public updates. The community deserves real insight into how decisions are made—and whether they’re working.
